5th Season • From Happy Valley • Attended U of O
- When did you start dancing?
I started taking jazz dance classes at a local studio when I was 10 years old.
- What got you started dancing?
I basically wanted an excuse to hang out with my friends more and they were all enrolled in dance classes.
- What is your favorite memory as a dancer?
One of my favorite memories as a dancer was performing at the 2016 NBA All Star Game in Toronto, Canada. I had the time of my life and wouldn’t trade that experience for the world!
- What is your favorite song to dance to?
As far as dancing at Blazer games, I love dancing to high energy songs like “Welcome to the Jungle”. It’s fun when it’s a well-known song and the crowd really gets pumped.
- Who is your all-time favorite Blazer?
I honestly didn’t have an all-time favorite Blazer until my rookie season when Jerome Kersey performed a routine with us for a throwback theme night. I remember being nervous to meet him at practice, but he was so down to earth and kind—just seemed like a normal person and not a former pro athlete. I feel so fortunate to have that special memory of him!
- Other than dancing, what are your hobbies/talents?
I like trying out different workout classes around town, especially barre and pilates style classes. As far as talents go, I’m freakishly good at solving Sudoku puzzles!
- What talent do you wish you had?
I definitely wish that I knew how to cook. I also wish I was naturally athletic and could be good at any sport I tried!
- What is your favorite part about Portland?
I really love all the restaurants that Portland has to offer. I feel like I am always trying new restaurants, yet I know I’ve barely scratched the surface.
- Where is your favorite place to eat in Portland?
- What is your favorite movie?
It’s hard for me to choose a favorite, but one movie I love is August Rush.
- Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled, and why?
I’ve traveled to several cities in China with the BlazerDancers for various NBA China events. We went to some large cities like Beijing and Shanghai, but the most interesting were the smaller cities that were not Westernized at all. There was some definite culture shock, but it was fun to try new foods and experience the Chinese culture.
- If you could time travel back to one decade, what period would you choose?
I would want to live in the 1970’s for the bell bottoms and flower power!
- What is your biggest pet peeve?
- If you could befriend one celebrity, who would it be and why?
Kristen Wiig. I don’t think I’d ever stop laughing!
- If your life had a motto, what would it be?
“Turn your face to the sun and the shadows will fall behind you.”
FILL IN THE BLANK
“When I’m not dancing and I have a free night, I’m either adulting (aka laundry, gym, etc.) or taking advantage of a night off and relaxing on the couch.”
“Dancing during hot timeouts, when the Blazers are on a run and the crowd is going wild, is my favorite part about dancing at the Moda Center on a game night.”
“The best part of being a BlazerDancer is creating lifelong friendships with my teammates. We all become so close throughout the season, and it feels amazing seeing all our hard work come to fruition on the court.”
“People would never believe me, but I actually like black licorice. I don’t think it’s that strange, personally, but I’ve found hardly anyone else who shares my same love for it! Good & Plenty’s are my jam!”
“You won’t believe that I’ve never lit a match. I’ve always been scared of fire, and lighting a match puts my fingers a little too close to a flame for comfort.”
“Google Maps is the most used app on my phone.”
“Florida Georgia Line is the best concert I’ve ever seen in person.”
“I’ve never been to Greece, but I really want go.”
