JACKIE

2nd Season • From Liberty Lake, WA • Attended Washington State University, Pullman

  1. When did you start dancing?

I started dancing when I was 19 in the AFL

  1. What got you started dancing?

I saw Washington State Universities dance team, the Crimson Girls, perform their hip-hop nationals routine and was hooked on the idea of making their team!  I saw them when I was a senior in high school and immediately started training.

  1. What is your favorite memory as a dancer?

My favorite memory as a dancer is dancing with my father at football halftime when I was on the Crimson Girls, believe it or not I got a lot of moves from my dad!

  1. What is your favorite song to dance to?

My favorite song to dance to is anything with a really strong beat! I like lots of hip hop and pop music that is remixed with EDM beats!

  1. Who is your all-time favorite Blazer?

My all-time favorite Blazer is Blaze the trail cat of course!!!!

  1. Other than dancing, what are your hobbies/talents?

I am a school teacher and enjoy working with kids.  I also am a painter and choreographer.

  1. What talent do you wish you had?

I wish I could sing!  Trust me I’m horrible….

  1. What is your favorite part about Portland?

My favorite part about Portland is how nice and laid back the people are.

  1. Where is your favorite place to eat in Portland?

My FAVORITE place to eat is actually in Beaverton. It is a Chinese restaurant that my family used to go to every Sunday called Happy Panda

  1. What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie is Tangled! I don’t watch a lot of movies but I love cop shows on TV like Quantico, Blind spot, and Brooklyn 99!

  1. Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled, and why?

The places I have traveled are all within the US- all are great but I would like to go experience other cultures while traveling.

  1. If you could time travel back to one decade, what period would you choose?

I would choose the roaring 20’s because (until the great depression) it was a carefree and live in the moment time for people surrounded by great music and even better outfits!

  1. What is your biggest pet peeve?

No question, people chewing with their mouth open.

  1. If you could befriend one celebrity, who would it be and why?

Britney spears because through her ups and downs in the tabloids she figured it all out and is still making great music and putting on an amazing show!  She came out on top rather than letting things get her down.

  1. If your life had a motto, what would it be?

Do what you love while you are young because you have the rest of your life to work.

FILL IN THE BLANK

“When I’m not dancing and I have a free night, I’m relaxing and trying to catch up from the craziness of having 3 jobs.

The screaming crowd and getting to dance in front of my family and friends is my favorite part about dancing at the Moda Center on a game night.”

“The best part of being a BlazerDancer is comparatively, we have sooooo many cute uniforms and every game we change up our outfits and dances!  On top of all that fun the girls on the team are absolutely amazing women who I feel so blessed to have met!

“People would never believe me, but I actually like but I actually like not wearing makeup. Unless I’m at a game or at a special event I usually forego make up all together.

“You won’t believe that I’ve never I’ve never traveled outside of the United States.

Instagram is the most used app on my phone.”

Luke Bryan is the best concert I’ve ever seen in person.”

“I’ve never been to Europe, but I really want go.”
