  1. When did you start dancing?

I started dancing in middle school when I joined my school dance team. It has been a part of me ever since!

  1. What got you started dancing?

I was a competitive gymnast for many years growing up. As the years went on, my joints had a difficult time keeping up with high level intensity of the sport. Dancing was a great alternative and I fell in love with performing!

  1. What is your favorite memory as a dancer?

Dancing has been such a huge part of my life. I have truly wanted to be a BlazerDancer for as long as I can remember. I auditioned three separate years and although the letdown year after year was extremely difficult, finally making the team was a dream come true and absolutely worth it. I will always remember the night of the team reveal and the emotions that came along with it – such an exciting experience!

  1. What is your favorite song to dance to?

Hip hop is my favorite style of dancing. Any song that is upbeat, fast and lots of fun is my kind of song to dance to!

  1. Who is your all-time favorite Blazer?

I have been a Blazer fan for so many years and it is difficult to nail down one player. If I had to choose, it would be Brandon Roy. He was such a pivotal part of the transformation Portland made after a tough few years. He was the sign of hope and positivity that Blazer fans were so eager for! He will always be an important figure to the Trailblazers.

  1. Other than dancing, what are your hobbies/talents?

My number one hobby is being a mom to my 18 month old son, Bentley. He is the light of my life and I am so blessed to be his mommy. The time away from work and dance is one-hundred percent devoted to him. We are at such a special age of development and I love watching him learn new things and explore the world. There is never a dull moment or any rest around that kid and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

  1. What talent do you wish you had?

I wish that I could sing! What a special thing to have the talent to sing AND dance at the same time.

  1. What is your favorite part about Portland?

I love the Pacific Northwest. Portland is the perfect location to raise a family. We are close the ocean, the mountain and a major city. There is so much to do and the people of Portland have great pride in the city – I love that!

  1. Where is your favorite place to eat in Portland?

My husband and I love Chart House. It is our date night go-to!

  1. What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie is Cool Runnings. “Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, get on up, its bobsled time… COOL RUNNINGS!”

  1. Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled, and why?

I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and moved to America at a young age. Bulgaria is the most beautiful country and while I don’t get to visit often, I cherish the time that I do spend there. It is rich in history and I really enjoy exploring my heritage.

  1. If you could time travel back to one decade, what period would you choose?

I would really enjoy going back to a time when technology did not exist. While it has helped us advance in many ways, I also think it has taken so much away from human interaction. We are constantly living with our heads in our phones, computers or televisions and it would be nice to simplify life a little bit during a time where we didn’t have so much at our disposal.

  1. What is your biggest pet peeve?

It drives me crazy to hear people chewing and swallowing loudly! Totally irrational but definitely my pet peeve.

  1. If you could befriend one celebrity, who would it be and why?

I would befriend Pharrel Williams. He seems like such a good soul and he is a musical genius. I can tell he has such an appreciation for life and people and I know I would really enjoy being around him.

  1. If your life had a motto, what would it be?

“When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.”

FILL IN THE BLANK

“When I’m not dancing and I have a free night, I’m enjoying my time with my baby boy. We love to run around the house and end the evening by snuggling to sleep.

The anxious feeling I get to run out on the court for the first time of the night. It is a hard feeling to explain but the crowd is so loud and excited and it gets me so pumped up!” Is my favorite part about dancing at the Moda Center on a game night.”

“The best part of being a BlazerDancer is performing at the Moda Center. I love to dance and I love basketball – how much better can it get?

“People would never believe me, but I actually liked being pregnant and totally miss it! I never thought I would be that person.

“You won’t believe that I’ve never eaten Peanut Butter. I grew up eating Nutella sandwiches instead and I just can’t stand the smell of Peanut Butter enough to try it. Most people think I’m nuts!

My camera is the most used app on my phone. I have over 8,000 pictures of my son on my phone.”

N*sync is the best concert I’ve ever seen in person. So much talent on one stage! ”

“I’ve never been to Africa, but I really want go. Our dream vacation is an African Safari.”
