1st Season • From Albuquerque • Attended University of New Mexico
- When did you start dancing?
I started dancing when I was 6 years old in Ogden, Utah.
- What got you started dancing?
When I was 5 years old I competed in the International Cinderella Scholarship Pageant. I was competing in the youngest age group of the pageant and did not have to compete in the talent portion just yet. One day during the competition I decided to watch the talent portion. This is when I became inspired to dance and just knew at the age of 5 years old that is what I would do for my talent one day. The first dance competition I competed in, my mom choreographed a Grease Lightning routine. One of my judges happened to be a dance studio owner, saw that I had talent and took me under her wing. The rest is history and I have danced ever since that day.
- What is your favorite memory as a dancer?
My favorite memory as a dancer was when I represented the United States during a World Ballet Competition in Canada. At the age of 14 years old I was the youngest competitor. I will always remember how much I grew as a dancer and the wonderful girls I met from around the world. I was truly honored to have been selected and this experience will always be one of the great accomplishments I cherish.
- What is your favorite song to dance to?
Honestly, I don’t have a favorite song. I just love to dance to any song that has a good beat. As a dancer, we focus so much on the beat and rhythm of the song so we can match our movements and almost create a story.
- Who is your all-time favorite Blazer?
- Other than dancing, what are your hobbies/talents?
Working as a Registered Dental Hygienist and pursuing my goal to create confidence within my patients through their smile.
- What talent do you wish you had?
I definitely wish that I knew how to cook. I also wish I was naturally athletic and could be good at any sport I tried!
- What is your favorite part about Portland?
I wish I could cook better. I am honestly a terrible cook but it is always something I am pursing to improve on.
- Where is your favorite place to eat in Portland?
My favorite place is anywhere in the Pearl District. The food is amazing and I can’t pick just one favorite place. I also still have many restaurants to explore!
- What is your favorite movie?
The Blind Side
- Where is the most interesting place you’ve traveled, and why?
The Bahamas. The culture was amazing and inviting there. The way they view life and actually slow down to enjoy one another was truly amazing.
- If you could time travel back to one decade, what period would you choose?
The Roaring 20s.
- What is your biggest pet peeve?
- If you could befriend one celebrity, who would it be and why?
Selena Gomez because she seems like a truly genuine person and loves to give back to her fans.
- If your life had a motto, what would it be?
“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, and others make it happen.”
